HUT RI ke-79

We are excited to share that the IDN Austin successfully hosted the 79th Indonesian Independence Celebration on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Drury Inn North Austin. The event was a warm welcome to our new Consul General from Houston, Ibu Ourina Ritonga.
This celebration also introduced leaders from various Indonesian diaspora organizations in Austin and the surrounding areas. We were joined by representatives from Pengajian Austin, San Antonio Dan Killeen (PASAK), the Indonesian Catholic Community (ICC) Austin, International Full Gospel Fellowship (IFGF), Gereja Mawar Sharon (GMS), IDN Global, Rumah Budaya Indonesia di Austin (RBI), Sanggar Budaya Nusantara (SBN) Waco, IndoPro, Persatuan Mahasiswa Indonesia di Amerika Serikat (PERMIAS), and INGENIA Behavioral Health LLC.
Guests enjoyed a delightful array of Indonesian cuisine from seven food vendors and were entertained by Indonesian diaspora students performing a music ensemble featuring "Sepasang Mata Bola", "Aku Sayang Ibu", "Indonesia Pusaka", "Rayuan Pulau Kelapa", and "Pachelbel's Canon in D".
Thank you to everyone who made this event a memorable celebration of Indonesian culture and community.
Asian Cultural Market @ Visa

IDN Austin diundang ke acara Visa Austin Asian Cultural Market di kantor mereka di Research Boulevard tanggal 31 July kemarin. Kami mendapat kesempatan memperkenalkan makanan Indonesia yang lezat, seperti nasi kuning, semur daging, es teler, klepon, bakwan jagung, dan banyak lagi! Kami juga memamerkan berbagai batik dan kerajinan Indonesia. Terima kasih banyak kepada Ibu Kiki Zakiah , Ibu Evie Thompson, dan Pak Tom yang telah mewakili IDN di acara ini!

Hari ini IDN Austin, IDN Global USA, dan Rumah Budaya Indonesia beserta tokoh masyarakat bertemu dengan Panwaslu yang diwakili Ibu Yanni Arief untuk membicarakan 'Evaluasi Pemilu 2024 di KSK Austin'. Pertemuan ini dilaksanakan di EurAsia, yang dijamu oleh pemiliknya, Ibu Lily dan Bpk Dinata.
Lokasi ini merupakan pilihan yang strategis karena EurAsia bisa dibilang sebagai employer tenaga kerja diaspora Indonesia yang terbesar di wilayah Austin dengan potensi pemilih yang jumlahnya mencapai puluhan orang dari satu Perusahaan saja. Setelah menyampaikan umpan balik, pertemuan ditutup dengan makan bersama hidangan khas EurAsia... maknyuss!!!
